Production certification is a procedure for assessing the technical capabilities of the applicant enterprise to ensure stable production of products/provision of services that meet the requirements of regulatory documents (national standards, enterprise standards, etc.).
A production certificate is primarily needed by enterprises that plan to participate in tenders and that cannot, for objective reasons, demonstrate products and a certificate of conformity for them. This is relevant in the case of repair enterprises or in the case of manufacturing financially costly products that are manufactured to order. Also, in some areas (for example, railway transport, alcohol production), a production certificate is required by industry standards. The presence of a production certificate gives an advantage to any enterprise that cares about increasing the efficiency of processes and the quality of work, but is not yet ready to implement and certify a quality system.
The certification procedure is a comprehensive check of the compliance of the material and technical base, regulatory and normative-technical documentation, the level of professional training of personnel, organizational measures aimed at ensuring the stability of quality indicators of each type of product or service provided.
If the certification procedure is successful, the applicant is issued a Production Certificate with a validity period of up to 3 years. In the future, the Production Certificate can be used in the conformity assessment procedure to obtain a certificate of conformity or to issue a declaration when confirming the requirements of technical regulations.
To issue a Production Certificate, you need to fill out an application using the Form and add information about the production structure using the Form. After reviewing the documents, a representative of the OS will contact you, who will provide details of the process and the estimated cost and time of completion of the work.
